Action of the Syndicat Mixte pour
l'Aménagement pour la Côte Picarde (Organisation for the
development of the Picardy Coast) appears in numerous European
programmmes. Funds allocated by the European Union play an essential
part in financing our projects.
Preparing and following up these files represent a
considerable volume of work involving civil servants, local community
employees and SMACOPI staff.
Programs such as the “Franco-British Cycle
Project” or the “Development and accessibility of nature
areas on both sides of the Channel” entice us to build close
links with other “European regions”. Our partnership is
being increasingly solicited, this enables us to gauge how sympathetic
other organisations are towards us, it also reinforces our endeavour to
fulfil our mission in the best possible way for the benefit of the
public, whether local, national or European.
