Alain
Gest, President of the General Council of the Sum and Jerome Bignon,
President of the SMACOPI, ont ouvert le last 22 May in the Cape Hornu,
the 1st congress of the Club of most beautiful bays of the world.
A recent initiative
Created in 1997 and chaired by Guy Rousset (of Bay of Tadoussac in
Canada), the Club gathers about fifteen country having one or more
bays of reputation.
During this congress, the various sites represented could exchange
information and experiments at the same time on the tourist and scientific
level.
The listeners have been particularly sensitive to the strategy of
installation, protection and tourist development developed for more
than 25 years out of Bay of Somme.
The talks of François Letourneux, Director of the Academy of
the Littoral, Laurent Roy, Director of the DIREN Picardy, Michel Desprez,
biologist with the GEMEL, of Jerome Bignon and Jean-Christian Cornette
of the SMACOPI, captivated the congressmen who then took the direction
of Marquenterre and Beautiful Dune.
The following day, the congressmen continued their course in direction
of Bay of the Michaelmas Mount to finish in the gulf of Morbihan.
The next congress of the Club of most beautiful bays of the world
is envisaged into 2003 in Canada. |
